Bio: FengLonglong,ProfessorofPhysicsatSunYat-senUniversity,Prof.Fengreceivedhisbachelor’sdegreeinphysicsfromtheUniversityofScienceandTechnologyofChina(USTC)in1982,followedbyamaster’sdegreefromUSTC’sCenterforAstrophysicsin1985.HeearnedhisPh.D.inastronomyfromtheDepartmentofAstronomyatNanjingUniversityin1990.Aftercompletinghisdoctorate,hebeganhisacademiccareeratUSTC,whereheworkeduntil2003.HethenjoinedthePurpleMountainObservatoryastheprincipalresearcheroftheGalacticAstronomyandCosmologyGroup.Since2014,hehasbeenaprofessorintheSchoolofPhysicsandAstronomyatSunYat-senUniversity.
